okay, i’m not ACTUALLY going to be writing a post about how mexico gained it’s independence…but even though dieciséis de septiembre does mark an important day in the history books, it is also someone’s birthday.

whose is it, might you ask? well, that person just so happens to be the writer of this little blog!

yup, today’s my birthday. my 24th, in fact.

weeeiirddd.

i’m learning that as each year after college quickly passes by, it all becomes more of a blur to me...and yet, i still feel like i’m 18 at times.

it wasn’t until my brother turned 20 this summer that i started to feel really old. double weeeiiirrddd.

i guess i had it in my mind that he would always be that 17 year old kid, and i would always be older, and in a different phase of life from him. but now that he is in college, that gap is starting to come to a close, and even though it feels a bit strange, i’d like to think it’s pretty awesome.

anyway, for my 24th birthday i’d like to share 24 things with you.

so far my birthday weekend has consisted of:

second-shooting a wedding alongside one of my favorite ladies

receiving a midnight call from my brother and the rents

and . . .

a yummy breakfast prepared by the hus-band this morning!

i’m so thankful for the wonderful family & friends who have been showering me with kind words and well wishes today.

thank you all for making my day so special!

we plan to spend the rest of day working around the house and then we are off celebrate with the family over dinner at one of my favorite restaurants!
